Megan L. Bassler

Megan L. Bassler focuses her practice in Business Law, Labor and Employment Law, Estate Law, Municipal Law and Litigation.

Ms. Bassler’s journey to the legal profession began after working in the social services field for approximately two years. Prior to law school, Megan earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. Following graduation, Megan worked for the Allegheny Department of Human Services in Pittsburgh, PA where she assisted and connected individuals and families to needed resources. This experience motivated Megan to begin her career in law, where she could now continue to help people in an impactful way.

Ms. Bassler attended Albany Law School where she graduated magna cum laude. While in law school, Megan received a Veterans Rights Fellowship, which allowed her to serve as a summer intern for Legal Assistance of Western New York. Additionally, Ms. Bassler was a Lead Article Editor for Albany Law School’s Journal of Science and Technology. Ms. Bassler earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in Biology from SUNY Oswego before attending Albany Law.

Prior to becoming an Associate, Ms. Bassler served as a Law Clerk for more than two years at The Towne Law Firm (TLF), allowing her to gain invaluable experience and knowledge across almost all service areas that the firm practices.

On a personal note, Ms. Bassler is originally from the Hilltowns in Albany County, where her family has resided for generations. Outside of the office, Ms. Bassler enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as skiing, hiking, and yoga.
