Real Estate Law

The Towne Law Firm, P.C. services

The Towne Law Firm, P.C. has more than 40 years of reliably handling all facets of real estate law and every aspect of real estate transactions.

Our extensive experience handling commercial foreclosures and knowledge of specific court systems in New York State allows us to streamline and expedite the process, significantly reducing the time it takes to have a receiver appointed. The immediate appointment of a receiver in a commercial or multi/mixed use setting helps limit the banking institution’s exposure for potential premises raiding and the lost revenue that may result from borrower acts.

The Firm is examining counsel for Chicago Title Insurance Company, as well as Stewart Title Insurance Company. In that capacity, Partners, James Towne and Shalini Natesan can address and resolve title issues involving tax liens, boundary line and survey issues, legal descriptions of property, chain of title disputes, foreclosure and bankruptcy issues. While Darla Dobert, the Firm’s Title Coordinator, can examine Abstracts and title searches as well as obtaining additional search requirements to create the title commitment in a timely manner, all of which streamlines the closing process for our clients and all parties involved in the closing transaction.

The Firm is involved in real estate transactions throughout New York State, regularly advising buyers, sellers and lenders in Albany, Rensselaer, Columbia, Greene, Fulton, Montgomery, Monroe, Oswego, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Ulster, Warren, Washington and Westchester counties – from offices in or near each county.

We represent buyers, sellers, businesses, banks, and both commercial and residential lenders.

Our complete services allow us to represent clients before zoning, planning and municipal boards and before a variety of New York State agencies. Our extensive experience allows our attorneys to undertake a variety of issues and even challenge local decisions through Article 78 proceedings.

Whether commercial or residential, a purchase or sale or a dispute with your municipality, the real estate attorneys at The Towne Law Firm, P.C. can make your Real Estate the home sweet home you were hoping it would be.
