James T. Towne, Jr., a Principal Partner of TLF, has been selected to the Super Lawyers list for 15 consecutive years for his performance in the practice area of Business Litigation. Mr. Towne has been representing businesses for over 40 years, addressing and handling a range of matters. Mr. Towne’s highly developed understanding of ethics as it impacts both businesses and government agencies allows him to provide invaluable services. Mr. Towne also provides assistance with technology issues as they impact the law and other “hot button” topics which may arise with the ever changing legal landscape. Michael Rhodes-Devey, an of counsel attorney with the firm, has been selected to the Super Lawyers list every year since 2017 for Gaming Law. Throughout his practice, Mr. Rhodes-Devey has represented a New York State Indian Tribal Council, pursuing gaming and other legal affairs for the Tribe.  Mr. Rhodes-Devey also has extensive experience representing Harness Horse Racing in New York.  His knowledge spans from bankruptcy proceedings, to working with various legislative leaders for necessary legislative changes, to obtaining numerous local and state permits and licenses necessary for facilities to open.

Christine E. Taylor, a Principal Partner of the firm, was selected to the 2021 Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. Leading TLF’s Hospitality Law practice, Ms. Taylor was recognized for her outstanding work in the industry, as she has grown the firms practice area tremendously over the past two years. Ms. Taylor grew up within the campground industry, working at parks in both the Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Franchise and the Kampgrounds of America Franchise. Armed with two decades of experience, Ms. Taylor is quick to point out the legal issues that apply to campground owners. She has provided a wide variety of services to campgrounds including seasonal licenses, waivers, employment contracts, real estate services and even litigation services as needed.
