TLF Welcomes Attorneys John W. Liguori and Mark T. Houston to the Team

With an impressive career spanning over 25 years, John Liguori is a highly accomplished litigator, focusing his practice in municipal law, public housing, and personal injury law. His extensive track record includes successfully handling hundreds of negligence defense, civil rights, and personal injury cases in both state and federal courts.

Notably, John served as the Deputy County Attorney within the Albany County Department of Law, showcasing his commitment to public service. His expertise extends beyond litigation, as he also practices in the areas of estates and probate, commercial and residential real estate, landlord-tenant law, and vehicle and traffic offenses.

Active in the legal community, John is a proud member of the Albany County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Housing Authority Defense Attorneys Group, and holds the distinction of being a charter member of the New York Academy of Trial Lawyers.

Mark Houston brings a distinctive perspective to our team, focusing his practice on civil litigation in the areas of municipal law, public housing, and personal injury law. His expertise is particularly pronounced in working with municipal entities, defending cases related to premise liability and civil rights matters.

Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Houston spent several years at the University at Buffalo Archaeological Survey, where he served as a project director. In this role, he provided cultural resource management services, navigating complex regulatory schemes such as Sections 106 and 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, and various state acts. Mark’s experience also involved close collaboration with Native American groups on preservation issues.

Mark Houston’s diverse background extends his legal practice into landlord-tenant law, estates and probates, environmental law, and real estate law.
