ALBANY, NY | The excitement around 51 Steps to Freedom continues here at The Towne Law Firm, P.C.! Earlier this month, our partners James T. Towne, Jr., Esq. and Shalini Natesan, Esq. were featured in the Times Union for their connection to this remarkable organization. Now, we are thrilled to share that Jim and Shali joined ABC10’s Upstate Living segment to talk about 51 Steps to Freedom and what America’s 250th birthday means for this groundbreaking project.

Watch the full segment below:

51 Steps to Freedom is a not-for-profit organization creating an interactive, augmented reality walking trail through Washington, D.C., bringing to life powerful stories of courage, resilience, and ingenuity that has shaped America, all through an app on your smartphone. It has been called the world’s largest outdoor museum, and with the nation’s 250th birthday on July 4th, there has never been a more meaningful moment to experience it.

Jim and Shali both serve on the board of 51 Steps to Freedom, and TLF is proud to count the organization among our not-for-profit clients. During the segment, they spoke about what drew them to the project, the incredible augmented reality experience on the trail, and how people right here in the Capital Region can be part of the 250th celebration without even leaving home.

That last part is worth repeating: anyone in the country can virtually sign the Declaration of Independence as part of 51 Steps to Freedom’s Signing the Promise campaign. It is a simple but powerful act, a moment to pause and recommit to the founding ideals that continue to shape this nation. Sign at www.51stepstofreedom.org/promise.
