ALBANY, NY | The Towne Law Firm, P.C. (TLF) is proud to announce a significant milestone for two exceptional members of our team. Claire J. Stratton and Cole H. Stevens recently took the oath and officially gained admission to the New York State Bar.

Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the legal profession have culminated in these achievements. Claire focuses her practice in Hospitality Law, Business Law, Labor and Employment Law, Real Estate Law, Administrative Law, Estate Law, and Litigation. Claire earned a dual bachelor’s degree in English and Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin. During her college years, she dedicated her time to the non-profit Texas 4000, contributing to cancer research through an annual bike ride from Austin, TX, to Anchorage, AK.

Claire’s journey to the Capital Region began at Albany Law School, where she served as Student Body President and Editor-in-Chief of the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology. Her commitment extended to numerous mock trial competitions, where she demonstrated her skills, reaching the finals of the Donna Jo Morse Client Counseling competition. Interning for the Nassau Criminal Court System and the Northern District of New York during law school, Claire gained valuable insights into the legal system.

As a Law Clerk at TLF, Claire has immersed herself in various practice areas, gaining invaluable experience. Outside of the office Claire loves animals, enjoys traveling, playing tennis and pickleball, swimming laps, biking, and cooking.

Cole practices in Business Law, Hospitality Law, Immigration Law, and Litigation. Graduating cum laude from Albany Law School, Cole’s commitment to community service was evidenced by his volunteer summer program assisting the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York, offering research and memoranda on Landlord-Tenant Law.

As an on-campus Lexis Associate, Cole not only engaged in legal research but also shared his knowledge with fellow students. His work as a research assistant for Professor Bearat on the article “Caged by a Marriage, How the United States’ Immigration System Encourages Child Marriages” reflects his dedication to impactful legal scholarship. Before law school, Cole earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Tulane; one in Philosophy of Law, Morality, and Society, and another in Sociology.

Serving as a Law Clerk at TLF, Cole has gained a wealth of experience across diverse practice areas. Outside the office he plays Rugby with a local club in Albany, NY, and enjoys Disc Golf throughout the Northeast Region.
